Seat Numbers

The seat numbers at Reliant Stadium (NRG Stadium) are consistent throughout the entire stadium. For every section, seat number 1 will always be closer to the adjacent section with the lower section number. For example, seat number 1 in section 126 will be next to section 125, while seat 23 in section 126 will be next to section 127.

History and Overview

NRG Stadium (formerly Reliant Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Houston, Texas, with a seating capacity of 71,054. NRG Stadium, which opened in 2002, is home to the NFL's Houston Texans, and has hosted various other events such as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, international soccer matches, and Super Bowl's XXXVIII and LI. NRG Stadium features a fully retractable fabric roof which can be opened or closed in as little as 7 minutes.

Best Seats

The best seats for a Houston Texans game can be subjective, but ideally you want to be sitting in between the 30 yards lines, in sections 125-128 or 105-108. The best view is not in the first 10 rows (A-J), but rather in between rows K-Z. Sitting in these rows gives the greatest view of the entire field, and allows you to watch the plays develop. The centrally located club level tickets are also an incredible option in the first 10 rows, but the price tag can be a bit higher.

Seats Per Row

The 100s Sections at Reliant Stadium have between 21-23 seats along the sidelines, with that number jumping to 28 in the corner sections (114,119,134,139). This pattern stays fairly consistent in the upper level sections as well, expect the corner sections shrink down to as low as 7 seats in the 300s corners (i.e.. 329) 16 in the 500s corners (i.e.. 526). So although the seating chart is not drawn to scale, it is indicative the number of seats in a particular row. In the 600 sections the corners are very inconsistent, but the sidelines typically have 21 seats in the first row and 27 in the last row.

"Is there really a way to fairly rate Reliant Stadium as anything other the 5 stars? This facility is one of Houston's best facilities and comes complete with a retractable roof. I've been when it was closed and I've been when it was open and both experiences were nothing less than astonishing. The engineering that went into this facility was masterful. I've had seats from the nose bleed level, to suites, to center field 3 rows up and all offer a great view of the field. Tailgating is an experience that everyone MUST try! Thank goodness Reliant allows and welcome this with open arms. "

Club Seats

Club Seats at NRG Stadium (Formerly Reliant Stadium) are located in the 300 level and are also known as Verizon Wireless Club seating. In addition to some of the best sight lines, club seats include private entrances, access to Verizon Wireless Club Loungers, in-seat wait service, upscale food and beverage, and four full service themed bars. 300 Club Level sections in 301-318 and 329-346.

Tailgating

All parking lots at NRG Stadium (Formerly Reliant Stadium) open four hours prior to kickoff for tailgating activities, and they do require pre-purchased parking hangtags which can be purchased direct or on the secondary market.

Houston Texans Bench

The Houston Texans bench is located between sections 104-109, and the visitors bench is located between sections 124-129.
